Katie Ford, MA, LPC, Clinical Director
Katie joined Street’s Hope in September 2012 as the new Clinical Director. She is responsible for the oversight of clinical internships, including weekly supervision of clinical interns, as well as work with graduate school internship coordinators at CACREP accredited schools such as DU, CCU, Denver Seminary, CSU, MSU, UNC, and UCD. Katie has oversight for clinical protocol of the agency, including all individual and group therapy as well as weekly review of client files and clinical intern paperwork to maintain superior standards of clinical documentation. Clinical oversight includes supervision of unlicensed clinicians who are masters level therapists working on licensure. She initiated a monthly Staff Boundaries Group to assist staff in maintaining ethical boundaries in policies and procedures related to working directly with this population. Katie conducts monthly clinical training on topics such as: Relapse Prevention/Addictions, Suicide/Self-Injury, Safety Planning, Complex PTSD, Trauma Reduction, Compassion Fatigue/Self Care, Mandatory Reporting, etc. She focuses on ongoing training in human and sex trafficking. Katie is a trauma therapist with expertise in suicide and self-injury. She has 12 years of experience managing agency clinical treatment and 16+ years of experience as a licensed psychotherapist in private practice.
